Promoter Live Nation Is Now Also The Biggest, Baddest Music Management Company In The World
The globe’s biggest concert promoter is now also the globe’s biggest management company, according to an SEC filing. It’s news that send shivers down the spines of booking agents (and competing promoters) worldwide. Who needs an agent when you can book your tour by dialing an extension on the Live Nation phone network?
Live Nation and its subsidiaries have more than doubled the number of its management clients in the last three years and now reps more than 500 artists.
SEC filings show that Live Nation now employs over 140 artist managers managing more than 350 artists worldwide after the company took an equity stake in two US management companies in 2016.
In the U.S., these include Roc Nation Management, 24 Artist Management, Blueprint Artist Management, Spalding Entertainment, LMG Management, Mick Artists Management, Three Six Zero Group, Vector Management, Career Artist Management and Philymack Management.
Live Nation also has interests in UK management firms including Plan B Management and Quest.
“We believe we are one of the world’s leading artist management companies based on the number of artists represented,” Live Nation stated in the SEC filing, reported MBW.
